NOT BASIC was founded in Australia by Daria and Monica. It began with a moment of clarity and a decision to create clothing without compromise. As tall women, we were tired of adjusting ourselves to fit garments that were never designed with us in mind. Pants fell short, waistbands sat wrong, and silhouettes ignored curves. When we could not find elevated everyday pieces that truly fit, we chose to design them ourselves.

NOT BASIC focuses on structured silhouettes, intentional length, and considered construction. We create pieces that are refined yet wearable, designed to support the way women actually move through their day. We design with precision and create with intention, because comfort, confidence, and edge should not compete. They should coexist.
